I've noticed an increasing number of e-mails over the past couple of years that amount to chain letters in disguise. Perhaps you've been the unwitting victim of some of these hoaxes--unsure as to whether there's any truth in the story, you forwarded it to your friends and they to theirs. So, it occurred to me that it might be good fun to Acro some of these stories, as well as offer you a place to read more about their origins and veracity (or, more often, lack thereof).
