[no reply] - 2 Surprising, can't think of anything specific that I get asked. However, it is frequently assumed (incorrectly) that I am a male player. [no answer] - 1 No favorite room. no fav..like to surf all are good. i shop around I don't have a favorite room -- I just go where the players are. Any room except where there is nothing but teen agers -- I have nothing in common with them. Any room with good acro-ers and good voters in it. Like any room as long as it's friendly. Any room, except for 'couch' and all the other rooms that play by couch rules Asylum...have played there from the beginning..good, friendly, intelligent group...no one ever gets too anal retentive.. Asylum because the crowd is a bunch of crazies like me and we are all warped and love to play together. Asylum, cause the regulars are always happy to see me. Asylum... must I explain? I shan't ASYLUM...there is no other Asylum, because I started there and have become an Asylumnite Asylum because the people are great and we always have a good time. I play often in the Asylum and any room with "couch rules". The Garage...noo whining, fighting or abuse..just great people no matter when I go in:) Couch, Love the rules couch - like the extra thinking required Couch- cos you can make up your own topics and its way more competitive than the other rooms Couch & CR rooms.. Intelligence challenged always! Couch, and then Spa. Couch is where I first really got involved with getting to know other players and feeling welcome. As we became a close group, there were so many of us that we had to find an alternater room to play in when the couch was full. The Cabin. There's no more heartening group in the world, all dedicated to their room and friends. When someone was feeling down - even enough to kill oneself - they were all there for that person. I understand that not a single person left until this individual felt better. Incredible! Another time, one member thought that it had hurt our feelings so deeply that he/she didn't deserve to ever come back to the Cabin. But no... we all understood. I really like rooms that play "couch" rules because I am not imaginative enough to go "cold turkey" with GA. I think I need something to focus on - whether it works or not. Anthony's Pizza because I know most of the regulars there. I've been to Anthony's Pizza a lot lately... beyond that, don't have a favorite. Circus - we have lots of fun and all the people in there are really friendly. Cloud 9 - the acroers there are creative and funny, vulgarity is very rarely gone for. CLOUD 9. Although an Adult Language Room... it is one of the few where an intellectual well-thought out answer will win out over one that just tries to use as many swear words as possible. Some of the nicest, most decent people I've met on the web, frequent the Cloud. Venus. cause it's the BEST! Venus Because everyone is as mental as I am Venus... the funnest and funniest regulars (mostly original Beta testers) Moon in the Adult Language area. I like the Adult Language area in general so I can say any acro as the mood strikes without worrying about offending anyone. I like the Moon specifically because everyone there seems mature and there's usually not a lot of fighting or cheating. MOON!!!!!! Cuz the people there are nice and we run off all the a-holes! We are a team! goooooooooooo team! Bathroom... oh you mean in Acro... bezerkley Bezerkely is fun. So is the Attic, and the Garage is great, but Porch is my favorite. My husband and I met on Compuserve's porch, and fell in love on line, and it brings back such wonderful memories. AcroCentral - that where acro life started. Catwalk is friendly, competitive and fun. But I love to play all the rooms. Catwalk, b/c that is where I grew to understand the true immensity of the Acro universe and was welcomed into it Catwalk: I love the room's high level of competition. Catwalk - many regulars who play Acro at a very high level. Rainbow Room, Asylum and Porch are also fun rooms with friendly players. The Rainbow Room. Why? I think thats self explanatory.. Spa because I LOVE water. LOL IMHO. Very friendly, and I have a good chance of making the faceoff. Hot Tub - great people! Hot Tub!! Because it the coolest room with the coolest people!! Hot Tub It's the Tub of Love-we don't like fighting, and don't tolerate it for long. Hot Tub, Pub...hot tub because a lot of nice people hang there and Pub because that's where all my Virginia Tech buddies chill Hot Tub. Because the people are all friendly and my tub buddies are in there Dungeon - adult language. I prefer playing with adults, rather than the teenagers who normally lurk in the adult rooms. Word play. I get to show off my vocabulary I love using my brain in a 'wordy' way, like crosswords anagrams etc etc It helps me use my brain (which I don't do very often) Keeps the ol' noggin hoppin'! it stretches your brain It is creative, gets me thinking so I can do my homework. because it keeps my mind active and sharp enables me to use my mind & I enjoy the interaction & chat with the other players It helps keep my mind sharp. I have to think to play this game The challenge. Not only of playing against someone else, but comming up with the Acros in the first place. like to use my brain ;;; use it or lose it is my belief I need to use my brain, before I get too senile. I hope it will aroused those sleeping cells. It's a fun way to keep the mind sharp. Time limits require quick thinking. And knowing that there's good competition make that even more zany. Love word games, love clever, witty people with great imaginations. I have met alot of fun & great people online and thats the best reason for acro!!! nice people in Slow Lane I like the people Nice people-- good brain exercise I know there are others, but Acro is the first game I've seen that carries such a large legacy and sense of community. This is no longer a game for people. It's an outlet for creativity (for Acros, web sites and variations). It's a forum for friendships (Through "chat", clans, clubs and again, sites). It offers a challenge (money prizes, head to head competition, the social variable). Plus, if you really think about it, in order to make better acros, one has to be willing to become a better person. For the chat show-always something hilarious gong on. It is a fun place to gather, chat, and play a fun and interesting game! When the Slow Lane is full of regulars and the acros are great and the chat is witty, there's no place I'd rather be! Talking with friends.... Chatting there are other reasons besides addiction? Make you think, but it's ok if you can't Addiction? Acrophobe's delusions daily interactions causes terminal indecisiveness over nothing. Being a beta tester has its benefits. Okay, not really. But it's fun. user generated content keeps the game fresh Because I'm pretty good at it. always loved word games, and did well at them cause I'm addicted Its a blast!!! It's fun and the chat box is a real riot at times. the people and comradery This was the first time I was able to interact with Beta testers that were doing the same things I was. Add to that the fact that we all seem to be a little nutsy, have made some good friends and many aqauintances. Cards, surfing the net. I dont really like rooms where people go just to chat, this gives you some way of getting to know people and share a common interest with them The humor, laughing outloud to point that face hurts from laughter, great way to unwind from long day No idea Good friends who care about each other. Creative, fun people. Have always enjoyed word games like Scrabble as well as Trivia type games...Acro combines both. It's also great to get to play games with family who live many miles away. Best free entertainment ever. [no answer] - 1 no - 18 nope - 3 neither - 11 It has nothing to do with Acro No time to check stayed the same no , im naturally thick (muscular) no. I'm skinny, so I don't lose weight Have been 185 lbs since 1992 Was a skeleton to start with - can't lose weight without removing bones No change... about the same , unfortunatley, maybe calastenics could be incorparated into the game Exactly same 'Bout the same bout the same about the same not yet. Although I haven't left Acro long enough to weigh myself. Neither Neither - Work Out regularly I AM A CONSTANT WIEGHT same weight no, but have no food in house (need a laptop to take to store with me) Nope same 195lbs I was!! (butt maybe flatter though LOL!! Stayed the same but man is my BUTT ever getting wider! No weight gain, just a redistribution to provide extra cushioning for those long nights! About the same it's a wash neither! thank-goodness! Yes - I am not sure. yes... my weight constantly fluctuates both, 20lbs up and down, whenever I stop to eat both..gained 10 pounds..went on a diet and lost 18 Hard to say. If I remember to stock up on food at the computer, I put on a few pounds. If I need to leave Acro to go get food, I lose. neither, I do 20 crunches for each game I play Nope, just got a bigger butt from sitting! Lost ....don't take time to eat. Lost 12 pounds, already Lost! As if!!! 15 lbs. (Had surgery last month) I don't know, but I wish you lost a pound for every acro point you got. Lost weight, maybe about 2 pounds.
