Glimpses of George

This site contains my collection of snapshots of George Mark, taken October 2000 through March 2002. In addition to being a talented photographer, George was my mentor and dear friend until he died on March 16, 2002. George and I met through DigitalPhotoContest.com (DPC) in January 2000. Despite the years and thousands of miles between us, we soon discovered that we shared, among other things, a similar outlook on life, a generally warped sense of humor, and a great love of photography. He journeyed to the U.S. many times to visit my husband Michael and me, and our friends soon became his friends. Likewise, I was able to travel to England and meet his family and friends. I was delighted with the warm welcome I received everywhere and also fell in love with the beautiful English countryside. George is greatly missed by his friends and family but he left a legacy of photographs to be enjoyed by us all. DPC closed on August 31, 2005 but I still have many of George's photos and will try to make a George Mark Gallery for you to enjoy sometime soon.
